Paul McCartney had cancelled his Japan tour due to illness. The former Beatle was recently forced to cancel a few shows after coming down with a virus last week. Today he confirmed that the entirety of the Japan outing would have to be scrapped, as his doctors have recommended “complete rest.”

McCartney hopes to return to the stage on May 28 for his scheduled appearance at the Jamsil Sports Complex Main Stadium in Seoul. As previously reported, Paul McCartney is set to play 19 shows in the United States after he wraps up his run through Asia.
