As some of you may recall, last year the people behind Maryland’s long-running (and now defunct) Starscape Festival put together a new festival called Moonrise. The one-day event was supposed to feature performances by STS9, Pretty Lights, Lotus, EOTO, Papadosio, The Crystal Method, GZA and many more. Unfortunately, the inaugural Moonrise Festival never actually took place, as the promoters were forced to cancel after they failed to get their permits worked out in time.

Now, it looks like the Moonrise Festival is finally set to take off. The original promoters, Steez Promo, have teamed up with Glow Washington DC to put on the two-day event, which is set to take place in Baltimore on August 9 and 10. Early bird tickets will go on sale at noon tomorrow, May 23, and the lineup will drop at some point in early June.
