The Capitol Theatre, HeadCount.org and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have once again teamed up to provide scholarships to local teachers. The scholarships are funded by auctioning off the Presidential Box at the Capitol, which sits directly overlooking the stage.

For a chance to win four VIP tickets in the Presidential Box for upcoming shows such as The Strokes on May 31 (closes May 30 at 5 PM), Electric Hot Tuna, Taj Mahal Trio, Bill Maher, Primus and more, click here.

This summer, the Hall will run a special curriculum training program exclusively for educators selected by The Cap. The two-day program will train up to ten teachers on bringing rock and roll history into their classroom, with an emphasis on activism and music’s role as an agent of social change.

The Capitol Community Fund, the theatre’s charitable program administered by the non-profit organization HeadCount.org, will cover all costs for the program including travel, lodging and tuition as part of the scholarship. Any teacher at an accredited institution in the New York metropolitan area can apply here.
