Jeff Tweedy will return to Austin City Limts on June 20 to tape a performance for the show 40th season. The Wilco frontman will take the stage with his backing band, which features his son Spencer Tweedy (drums), Jim Elkington (guitar), Darin Gray (bass) and Liam Cunningham (keys). The group will play tunes from Tweedy’s forthcoming debut solo album before Tweedy a solo acoustic renditions of songs from the Wilco and Uncle Tupelo canon.

The taping will mark Tweedy’s fifth appearance on the program, though it will be his first as a solo act. As previously reported, he will also be embarking on a solo tour this June and July.
