Arcade Fire headlined the Rock in Rio Festival in Lisbon last night and played a spirited 21-song setlist that included yet another hidden cameo from a friend of the band. Much like Aaron Paul did at Coachella, Lorde jumped on stage following a brief “Royals” tease in “Normal Person” to dance around in a giant bobblehead as the band performed “Here Comes the Nighttime.”

The band also delivered snippets of The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” in “Rococo” as well as New Order’s “Temptation” in “Afterlife” (a regularity on the tour) along with an outro of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” in “Sprawl II.” The band performed the tune at Coachella with Debbie Harry.

Also worth noting, in a more geeky moment, the sound on the stage “failed” as “Month of May” was starting, possibly signaling the end of the month as it was June 1 during their set.

Speaking of Lorde, Umphrey’s McGee’s Jake Cinninger spoke with Relix.com about the band’s new album and commented on how much he enjoys the new pop singer’s music. Read the full interview here.
