The Strokes Return to the Stage for First Show in Three Years
The Strokes returned to the stage for the first time in nearly three years as the band took the stage at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The set, which served as a warmup for their Governors Ball Festival slot, covered material from all five studio albums beginning with 2001’s breakout Is This It.
Three tracks from 2013’s Comedown Machine got their live debut including “Welcome to Japan,” “One Way Trigger” and “Happy Ending.” Next up for the group is the aforementioned Governors Ball show at Randall’s Island in New York City.
