Blues Traveler Cover Bob Marley with Michael Franti at Bottle Rock Napa

Michael Franti sat in with Blues Traveler for a take on Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry” at the Bottle Rock Napa festival this past Saturday. The singer/guitarist, who lives in the area, was not billed on this year’s lineup, though he did perform at the inaugural Bottle Rock Napa last summer.

Saturday also saw Blues Traveler perform a cover of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” while Tea Leaf Green bassist Reed Mathis played a version of “Happy Birthday” that was reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix’s “Star Spangled Banner” during that band’s set.

Love to Michael Franti and Spearhead. When are you coming back to Michigan?
