Father John Misty Releases Cat Stevens Cover

Father John Misty has released a cover of Cat Stevens’ classic “Trouble.” The track is set to appear in the upcoming film ONCE I WAS: The Hal Ashby Story, a documentary about the life of famed director Hal Ashby. Father John Misty, who also scored his wife’s directorial debut The History Caves and contributed music to the HBO’s Girls soundtrack, likely chose the song because its connection with Ashby’s iconic 1971 film Harold and Maude.

That would of have been like Lindsay Buckingham kicking Stevie Nicks out of Fleetwood Mac in the 70’d because she had some issues.
Bands in the hey day would cancel a tour if one of the members had something going on personally…opposed to swiftfully replacing them or going to collect the tour money as a half assed version of it’s former self.
Dont let these“indie” bands fool you. They are 100% corporate with a lacquer finish of facial hair, patchouli and good will clothing.
