Dave Schools will have a segment on the new season of the children’s television show Pancake Mountain. The program, created by filmmaker and record producer Scott Stuckey, featured guests like The White Stripes, My Morning Jacket, Eddie Vedder, Katy Perry, Robert Randolph and School’s band Widespread Panic before going on hiatus two years ago.

The new season of Pancake Mountain premiered on PBS Digital Studios earlier this week and included an appearance by comedian and beatboxer Reggie Watts. According to The Video Oink, the new incarnation of the show will include a recurring cooking segment with The Jesus Lizard’s David Yow and a music segment called “Bass with Dave Schools.”

Creator Scott Stuckey worked with acts like Widespread Panic, Bloodkin and Vic Chesnutt in the the late 80s and early 90s when he ran the Sound Gallery studio in Athens, GA. Stuckey has also directed music videos for Thievery Corporation as well as a short film about brute., a side project featuring Vic Chesnutt and the members of Widespread Panic.
