Back in April of last year Athens, GA jam staples Perpetual Groove called it quits with a farewell show at the Georgia Theatre after longtime frontman Brock Butler announced his desire to go an indefinite hiatus from the band. JamBase now reports that Butler finally shared the stage with one of his former bandmates for the time on Tuesday night.

Butler was joined by keyboard Matt McDonald (who is now part of a new group called Ghost Owl with the remaining members of P Groove) during his performance at the Green Room in Athens. The pair, both on guitar, teamed up for four songs during Butler’s second set, including covers of The Deep Dark Woods’ “All The Money I Had Is Gone” and Modest Mouse’s “Float On,” as well as takes on the P Groove originals “TSMM” and “Sweet Obvious Antidote.”
