Classic Genesis Lineup to Reunite for BBC Documentary

The classic Genesis lineup of Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Tony Banks, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford has reunited for an upcoming BBC documentary, Genesis: Together and Apart. The news was revealed today via Gabriel’s website, which noted that the film’s air date has not yet been scheduled. The documentary will mark the first time that the the classic lineup has joined forces since a 1982 show at England’s Milton Keynes Bowl.

Ideas for a Genesis reunion tour have been floated for some time, though Gabriel recently told Rolling Stone he finds the prospect unlikely, but will “never say never.”

if I have an erection for 4 hours, i’m not calling a doctor for myself, but for the unfortunate pin cushion i’m sticking it in for 1/2 a work day.

This lineup was one of the best things that ever happened in music. If only hipsters would discover them? Then things would be so much better….
