The Shins Contribute New Song to Zach Braff Film

Ten years after they contributed two songs to Zach Braff’s 2004 film Garden State, The Shins and Braff are back together again for his new film Wish I Was Here. The band delivered a brand new song entitled “So Now What” to the soundtrack that also includes contributions from Bon Iver, Paul Simon, The Head and the Heart and others.

The soundtrack is due out digitally and on CD beginning July 15, with the vinyl release coming August 5. The film will hit theaters July 18.

The Shins’ “So Now What” is available to stream via NPR.

I don’t know which is gayer, The Shins or Zack Braff. At least the Shins didn’t freak out on a teenage girl at a mall for saying hey like Braff did. Scrubs is the 2nd worst show ever, right behind Friends.
