Johnny Cash Tribute Album to Feature Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle and More

To celebrate the 50th anniversary or Johnny Cash’s concept album Bitter Tears: Ballads of the American Indian, Sony Music Masterworks is release Look Again to the Wind: Johnny Cash’s Bitter Tears Revisited on August 19 with a variety of special guests. Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Bill Miller, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, among others, will offer interpretations of eight original songs.

Look Again was recorded in Los Angeles, Nashville and at the Cash Cabin in Cash’s hometown of Hendersonville, TN. Most of the instrumentation was provided by Greg Leisz, Keefus Ciancia, Patrick Warren, Jay Bellerose and Dave Piltch.

this looks great and i love all of these artists, but I do wish they had gotten some native musicians

, Well, I actually do like musratd so they moved onto the next cover. Even though they write very somber music both of them are quite funny. And they also pulled out a copy of her very first song and she performed it. It was all about rocks and she wrote it after coming home from geology camp.
