The Filthy Six are coming to the United States next week to make their Brooklyn debut. The six piece English soul-jazz outfit, which is led by Mumford & Sons trumpeter Nick Etwell, will play a free midnight show at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on July 25 before opening for Galactic the following night at the Brooklyn Bowl. The group will then head to Philadelphia for a gig at Silk City on July 29, and they will return to Brooklyn for a performance at Union Pool on July 29.

You can check out our recent interview with Etwell, in which he discusses the band’s first American tour, his love for New Orleans, the difference between the American and British soul/funk scenes, playing with Mumford & Sons, the Boogaloo Bowl and more.
