Legendary kora player Toumani Diabaté and his son Sidiki will make their way to the United States for a series of tour dates this fall. The father/son duo will be performing in support of their new album Toumani & Sidiki, which was released in May. The outing will begin on September 24 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) before the pair head out to the West Coast for three California shows. They will then return to the East Coast for gigs in Durham, NC and Arlington, VA.

Diabaté first rose to prominence in 1988 when he recorded the first ever solo album to utilize the kora, a 21-string West African harp. He has since toured the world and released collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Damon Albarn, Bjork, Taj Mahal and more.

Tickets for the tour are now on sale.
