In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson confirmed the details of his upcoming LP which features material originally written for the new Beach Boys before Mike Love pulled the plug on the band’s reunion.

With a batch of songs left unfinished, Wilson is enlisting some of his favorite singers to finish the songs. Lana Del Rey, Kacey Musgraves, Zooey Deschanel and Frank Ocean will all make appearances on the new album as guest vocalists. Nate Ruess from fun. is also set to appear, whom Wilson says “sounds a little like my brother Carl.”

Additional personnel on the album include Don Was, who adds bass to some songs to the untitled record due out this fall, on a few tracks including “Last Song” which also features Del Rey.

“I got really choked up playing bass on that track,” adds Was. “There’s something about Brian signing off with it, saying, ‘This is it, this is my last song.’ It’s really intense. If ‘Last Song’ turned out to be his last song, can you imagine? Wow. That’d be some coda.”
