Tomorrow, the corner of Ludlow and Rivington, where Beastie Boys’ iconic Paul’s Boutique album cover photo was taken, will unofficially become Beastie Boys Square for a day. LeRoy McCarthy, the man who petitioned to have the corner officially named Beastie Boys Square, is curating a mural on the corner beginning July 26 at 11 AM.

The mural tribute to the Beastie Boys will be painted by Danielle Mastrion and will be going up outside Wolfnights, the sandwich shop that currently occupies 99 Rivington. The album cover featured the previous establishment, Lee’s Sportswear. The event coincides with the 25th anniversary of the New York City group’s second album.
