Primus have announced a tour in support of their forthcoming album, Primus & The Chocolate Factory with The Fungi Ensemble. The band will hit the road with their Willy Wonka-themed show, which will be similar to their last New Year’s Eve performance, on October 22 when they kick off the tour at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, PA. They will then make their way across the country over the course of the next month, with a Halloween show scheduled at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on October 31. Tickets for the tour are now on sale.
In addition to the music, the band will also be bringing back the Primus candy bars. The treats, created by Asher’s Chocolates, will include flavors like Mr. Krinkle (crisped rice), Professor Nutbutter (peanuts) and Bastard Bar (dark chocolate).
As previously reported, Primus drummer Tim Alexander recently underwent open heart surgery following a heart attack earlier this month. He is currently expected to make a full recovery.
