Jack White’s Lazaretto Sets 20-Year-Old Vinyl Sales Record
Jack White’s Lazaretto is officially the biggest selling vinyl LP since 1994, according to Billboard. The report says that the record, released on June 10, has moved 60,000 copies, topping the number set by Pearl Jam’s 1994 effort Vitalogy.
Billboard also reports that the Ultra LP package sold 40,000 in just the first week alone.
White is currently off the road but will return on August 18 in Kansas City, MO for a show at the Midland Theatre. The former White Stripes member will also headline a sold out show at Red Rocks along with two shows at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
