Real Estate headlined San Francisco’s Fillmore for the first time in their careers on August 1, Jerry Garcia’ birthday. As a nod to the day and the local hero, the band broke into a cover of the Grateful Dead’s “He’s Gone.” The tune preceded the set closer of “Had to Hear.”

Next up for the band is a show at Harlow’s in Sacramento, CA tonight. Real Estate will play at the Woodsist Festival in Big Sur, CA later in the week before jetting off to Europe for a brief run through Sweden, Finland, Italy and France. For more on the band and their eclectic roots, order the June issue of Relix featuring the indie-jam band on the cover.
