Leonard Cohen will celebrate his 80th birthday with the new LP Popular Problems. Rolling Stone reports that word of the album was revealed last week at the Leonard Cohen Event 2014, an officially sanctioned fan convention held in Dublin. A September 22 release date has also surfaced on Amazon France.

Jarkko Arjatsalo, an accountant that runs Cohen’s official website, says that “Leonard has worked hard on his next studio album of entirely new songs. He asked me to let you know that Popular Problems will be out at the end of September, shortly after his 80th birthday.”

Popular Problems will be Cohen’s 13th studio album and the follow-up to 2012’s Old Ideas.
