Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will play a benefit show for music education non-profits the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation and the Trombone Shorty Foundation next month. The show, which will be a part of StubHub’s Next Stage Concert Series, is set to take place at Lincoln Hall in Chicago on September 8. Tickets for the show are now on sale.

The Trombone Shorty Foundation is an organization that partners with Tulane University to educate young musicians and help launch careers in music. The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation donates both new and refurbished instruments to school music programs that lack the resources to keep up with equipment loss due to attrition, depreciation and wear over time, and to accommodate students on waiting lists or who have to share instruments.
