Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes, a collaborative project from Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens of Carolina Chocolate Drops, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, Jim James of My Morning Jacket and Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons, is set for release on November 11 via Electromagnetic Recordings/Harvest Records. The T Bone Burnett-produced LP finds the above artists writing and recording music for twenty songs worth of lyrics that were handwritten by Bob Dylan during his 1967 Basement Tapes era.

Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes will be accompanied by a Showtime documentary titled Lost Songs: The Basement Tapes Continued, that is set to premiere on November 21. The film, which presents an intimate look at the making of the album, was directed by Sam Jones, who is best known for the Wilco documentary I Am Trying To Break Your Heart.

Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes can now be preordered via iTunes and Amazon. Fans will have the options of purchasing a 15-song standard edition or a 20-song deluxe edition in digital, CD and vinyl formats.
