Stevie Wonder, Joan Baez, Billy Joel, Garth Brooks and Stephen Sondheim will receive the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ Centennial Award at special ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City on November 17. Several young ASCAP Foundation award recipients will be also be on hand to showcase their talent.

The singular, once-in-a-century award recognizes the artists’ “incomparable accomplishments in their respective music genres and beyond.” The November 17 ceremony will be a part of gala celebrating ASCAP’s 100th anniversary, which will also serve at the organization’s first-ever fundraiser to benefit its music education, talent devleopment and humanitarian activities.
