Dark Star Orchestra have expanded their New Year’s run to include shows in Richmond, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. The group will now be performing at The National in Richmond on December 28, the Electric Factory in Philadlephia on December 29 and the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC on January 2 and 3. The new dates are in addition to their previously confirmed NYE shows at The Paramount in Huntington, NY on December 30 and 31. Tickets for the shows are now on sale.

Earlier this year, Dark Star Orchestra surpassed the number of shows played by the Grateful Dead when they took the stage for the 2,319th time. We spoke with members of the band about this milestone, the band’s influence on younger Dead lovers and more.
