Guster will release their first album in four years, Evermotion, on January 13. The follow-up to 2010’s Easy Wonderful is produced by The Shins/The Black Keys’ Richard Swift, who also previously worked with the likes of Foxygen, Stereolab and others.

The record was recorded at Swift’s Cottage Grove, OR studio in three weeks, the fastest the quartet has ever finished an album. “We recorded with one drum microphone, used whole takes, didn’t obsess over vocals or really edit things at all,” Brian Rosenworcel says. “It’s a raw version of our band.”

The first single from the album, “Simple Machine,” as well as a b-side “Long Night” is now available to stream over at TIME. Pre-orders for the album are currently ongoing.
