Phish’s Trey Anastasio kicked off his orchestral tour last night in Portland, OR at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, the first of three stops for the guitarist throughout the month of September. The two-set show was highlighted by the debut of “Petrichor,” Anastasio’s newest composition.

As previously reported, Anastasio began composing the piece during rehearsals in 2012 for his Broadway production of Hands on a Hardbody. Watch a video of the 18-minute composition above.

Additional tunes performed include orchestral staples such as “Divided Sky,” “Stash,” “Time Turns Elastic” and “You Enjoy Myself.” Anastasio also gave the orchestra treatment to a pair of his latest solo songs “Frost” and “Architect” as well as an encore of “Water in the Sky.” Anastasio’s next stop is September 11 in Seattle, WA.
