The Doors will release the never-before-released documentary film Feast of Friends on November 11, produced by the band themselves. The film was originally shelved due to Jim Morrison’s legal issues and was only ever seen at a few film festivals but was never completed.

The footage offers a look at The Doors on the road during their 1968 summer tour and is comprised of concert performances which are intercut with footage of the group backstage, in rehearsal and more. The film has been mastered in high definition with the soundtrack totally remixed and remastered by longtime Doors co-producer Bruce Botnick.

Along with the movie, fans will have the chance to receive three bonus features including Feast of Friends: Encore, a complimentary piece that provides a deeper look into the life of the band. The second, The Doors Are Open, is a British TV documentary originally aired on December 17, 1968 focused around the band’s performance at London’s Roundhouse. The final bonus feature, The End, was filmed in Toronto, Canada in August of 1967 and includes later interviews with John Densmore, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek and longtime Doors collaborator Danny Sugerman.
