All of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead plus Gregg Allman, Dave Matthews, Warren Haynes, members of Phish, Widespread Panic, the String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, moe. and many more will be helping HeadCount with today’s National Voter Registration Day campaign. The annual event, which is taking place ahead of this November’s midterm elections, will see over 2,000 organizations register voters in cities across the country.

As part of the day’s festivities, various musicians and entertainers—some within the jamband orbit and some outside of it—have teamed up with HeadCount to promote voter registration via their social media outlets. Other artists that have contributed to the campaign include Questlove, Jeff Tweedy, Jack Johnson, Linkin Park, Fergie, Lewis Black, Esperanza Spalding and Sarah Silverman, among others. HeadCount will be at in force this afternoon, with teams registering voters in 22 different cities.

Most of HeadCount’s photos will be posted via social media outlets throughout today, but we’ve got a few of them here to give you a taste of what’s happening on National Voter Registration Day. If you would like to register to vote (or even update your current registration) you can do so here.
