Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman (aka Ron Swanswon) directed the official video for “Low Key,” a cut from Tweedy’s debut album Sukierae. The collaborations marks the second time that the Wilco frontman and the popular NBC comedy have been associated. The first came back in April when Tweedy reunited popular Pawnee, Indiana band Land Ho! for the Unity Concert.
The “Low Key” video offers commentary on the state of the declining music industry as Tweedy and his son Spencer go door-to-door in an attempt to supplement the underfunded marketing efforts of their record label. Guest appearances include Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, Mavis Staples, Chance the Rapper, Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche, producer Steve Albini and Jeff’s son, Sam Tweedy and many more.
