Rhino is gearing up to release Jaco Pastorius: The Warner Bros. Years, a two-disc anthology that will explore the legacy of the legendary bassist. The compilations, which is set for release on October 14, will focus on the music that Pastorius recorded between 1980 and 1982.

Most of the release’s 22 songs were taken from three albums—the 1981 studio release Word of Mouth, the 1981 live album Birthday Concert and the 1982 live recording Invitation. Additionally, The Warner Bros. Years also includes an unreleased 1981 recording of Pastorius’ cover of Charlies Parker’s “Donna Lee.”
