Bill Kreutzmann will speak about his new, upcoming autobiography at the So Many Roads: The World in the Grateful Dead, A Conference and Symposium on November 6 at San Jose State University. The conference, which lasts from November 5-8, brings together scholars, participants, enthusiasts and more for an international conference exploring the meaning and impact of the Grateful Dead phenomenon. More information on the event can be found here.

In addition, Tales From the Golden Road‘s Gary Lambert revealed snippets of a conversation he had with Kreutzmann at this year’s Lockn’ Festival, saying that the drummer isn’t “at all interested in the touring grind anymore, but he’s interested in doing certain well-chosen special events.” Lambert also said that Kreutzmann is building a venue in Hawaii where he can play on a regular basis. Fellow Grateful Dead mates Bob Weir and Phil Lesh have accomplished similar feats, with TRI Studios (and Sweetwater Music Hall) and Terrapin Crossroads, respectively.
