The Rolling Stones have revealed that saxophonist Bobby Keys will not be joining them for their upcoming tour through Australia and New Zealand. A statement from the band’s website reads:

Due to being a bit under the weather, Bobby Keys will not be joining the Stones for the Australian and New Zealand tour dates. Bobby is under doctor’s orders to take it a bit easy for the next month and hopes to see everyone soon.

As previously reported, saxophonist Karl Denson will be performing with The Stones during their Australia/New Zealand run. In light of the recent news about Keys, it appears that Denson will be replacing him on sax for their upcoming shows.

The Rolling Stones will kick off their Australia and New Zealand tour in Adelaide on Saturday, October 25. In addition to Denson, the band’s current lineup includes core members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, as well as touring band members Chuck Leavell, Darryl Jones, Tim Ries, Matt Clifford, Lisa Fischer and Bernard Fowler.
