Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia have been nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The pair is one of many songwriting duos that will be considered for induction, including Mike Chapman & Nicky Chinn, Sandy Linzer & Denny Randell and P.F. Sloan & Steve Barri.

A variety of other performing and non-performing songwriters have been also nominated for the 2015 ceremony, such as Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Vince Gill, Elvis Costello, Cyndi Lauper, Cat Stevens, Steve Miller, Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson and KC and The Sunshine Band’s Harry Wayne “K.C.” Casey, among others.

The 2015 Songwriters Hall of Fame gala will take place in New York in June. Ray Davies, Donovan, Graham Gouldman, Mark James and Jim Weatherly were among this year’s inductees.
