Electron kicked off their fall tour with a pair of tribute nights to Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead in Washington, DC and New Haven, CT respectively. In DC, the band delivered select Floyd cuts such as “Comfortably Numb,” “Another Brick in the Wall” and the closing “Fearless” while the New Haven show included takes on the Dead’s “Feels Like a Stranger,” “Shakedown Street” and “I Know You Rider.”

The Grateful Dead connection to the band is a close one as Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein both performed with Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann at this year’s Gathering of the Vibes. Magner and Tom Hamilton will both also be a part of the Billy and the Kids lineup debuting this December at Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam.

Next up for Electron is a slot at B.B. King’s tonight in New York City.
