The Allman Brothers Band may be calling it quits next week, but Derek Trucks has taken one more step to ensure that the band remains a part of him forever. This past Sunday, the guitarist got a mushroom tattoo on his calf to match the one that all of the original members received from Lyle Tuttle at Duane’s insistence in January of 1971.

According to Allman Brothers Band biographer Alan Paul, Trucks said that he got the tattoo ““Because Jaimoe told me to and I do what Jaimoe says to do.” Paul also notes that Gregg Allman confidante Chank Middleton and drum tech Stixx Turner received the tattoo on Sunday as well (Turner is first woman to do so).

Guitarist Warren Haynes is now the only member of the band that does not have one of the matching mushroom tattoos.
