The Foo Fighters have announced that their recently announced August 29, 2015 show at Chicago’s Wrigley Field will feature “a day-long multigenerational celebration of Chicago’s musical heritage.” The concert, which will mark the first time that the band has headlined a stadium in the United States, will include performances by Cheap Trick, Naked Raygun and Chicago underground legends Urge Overkill. (Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen appears on the band’s new album, Sonic Highways, while Naked Raygun played at the same Cubby Bear gig that was a teenage Dave Grohl’s first live show).

Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public this Monday, October 27, at 10am CT.

As previously reported, The Foos’ Sonic Highways is set for release on November 10. The band’s HBO series of the same name, which documents the cross-country journey that birthed the album, premiered last Sunday.
