The Allman Brothers continued their final run at the Beacon Theatre last night with a show that featured a pair of special tributes as the band honored the late Bill Graham (who died on October 25, 1991) as well as Cream’s Jack Bruce, who passed away yesterday at the age of 71.

Warren Haynes dedicated “Into the Mystic” to Graham, saying that the Van Morrison tune was one of his favorite songs. The famed promoter and the Allman Brothers worked together on numerous fronts, including the historic concert at Watkins Glen which drew 600,000 people to see The Grateful Dead, Allmans and The Band.

While another “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” closed the set, the band worked in a cover of Cream’s “Politician,” a Jack Bruce-penned tune from the band’s 1968 double album, Wheels of Fire. The performance was a debut for the Allmans.

Additional notes from the band’s fourth show at the Beacon included yet another “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” which spawned out of “Jessica.” The ABB return to the stage on October 27 for their penultimate show.
