After news broke of the passing of Cream bassist Jack Bruce, Widespread Panic and Umphrey’s McGee took to the stage last night to pay homage to the legendary musician. During Widespread Panic’s show at the Riverside in Milwaukee, the band jammed a snippet of the Cream classic “Sunshine of Your Love” during their own “Greta.”

Umphrey’s McGee opted for a more official tribute as the band debuted a cover of “White Room” to close their show in nearby Grand Rapids, MI. The tune included Joel Cummins and Jake Cinninger trading verses as well as a lengthy guitar solo from Cinninger at the end. After the song, the guitarist stepped to the mic and said, “That’s for Jack.”
