As Phish readies for their three-night stand at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Mike Gordon spent yesterday in nearby San Rafael, CA at Terrapin Crossroads where he joined Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band for a special afternoon show.

The bassist joined Lesh for the entire set, which included takes on Grateful Dead tunes such as “Tennessee Jed,” “Scarlet Begonias,” “U.S. Blues” and a “Touch of Grey” encore, among others. The ensemble, which featured Lesh along with son Grahame, Ross James and Alex Koford, also delivered their version of Phish’s “555.” Watch a video of the “Touch of Grey” finale above.

Phish’s three-night run at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium begins tonight.
