Cream bassist Jack Bruce was laid to rest today in London after passing away at the age of 71 after a battle with liver disease. Among those in attendance included Cream bandmates Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker as well as lyricist Pete Brown. According to the UK’s Mirror, the guests sang well-known Christian hymn “Morning Has Broken” as well as The Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields Forever” and Bruce’s own track “Theme for an Imaginary Western.”

The funeral was held at Golders Green Crematorium in North London. Additional guests included Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera as well as Procol Harum’s Gary Brooker.
