Electric Light Orchestra architect Jeff Lynne has revealed that he will be bringing his revived ELO to North America next year. Speaking with Billboard at Tuesday night’s Classic Rock Honours in Los Angeles (where he was given the Outstanding Contribution to Music award), Lynne said, “I had so much in Hyde Park with 50,000 people, where I just played in September, first time I’ve played in 28 years it was fantastic and I loved every minute, so I’m definitely gonna come here and play.” Lynne’s manager then added that shows will take place in 2015.

In addition to confirming future tour dates, Lynne also revealed that he will be writing new music under the ELO name, saying, “I’m working on a new album and that’ll be involved in the new times when we play.”

Lynne fronted the Electric Light Orchestra from 1971 to 1988, when he disbanded the group. This year’s London concert in Hyde Park, which saw Lynne reunite with longtime ELO keyboardist Richard Tandy, marked his first performance in almost three decades.
