George Porter Jr. will celebrate his 67th birthday with a special birthday bash show at Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans on December 26. Tickets to the show are available here.

Porter, who is best known as bassist for The Meters, has several credits to his name including his own group the Runnin’ Pardners as well as recording and performing with the likes of Dr. John, Paul McCartney, David Byrne, Warren Haynes and more. Porter is also a part of The Metermen with Leo Nocentelli, Joe Modeliste and Page McConnell, who perform sporadically.
