Drive-By Truckers have revealed that their upcoming three-night run at the The Fillmore in San Francisco will be recorded for a future live album. The news was confirmed via a post on the band’s Facebook today, which stated:

We are planning quite the blowout for these last shows of the year. David Barbe is flying out with his super-talented son Henry to record the proceedings for that long awaited DBT Live Album we’ve been wanting to do for 14 years now. We’ve been prepping and planning for months and the time is at hand.

According to the same Facebook post, the members of DBT will be doing their own thing for the foreseeable future, so fans should not expect any shows for some time.

The San Francisco run will mark the end of the Southern rockers’ latest tour, which has seen the band criss-cross the country in support of their most recent album, English Ocean.Tickets for the The Fillmore shows are now on sale.
