Pink Talking Fish got some help from The Hornitz yesterday during their post-String Cheese Incident late night at Garcias at The Capitol Theatre. The horn section joined the Pink Floyd/Talking Heads/Phish cover band for takes on “Burning Down The House,” “Slippery People,” “Sand” and “Psycho Killer,” while saxophonist Stoobaca Dashiki stuck around for “Shine On You Crazy Diamond.”

Last night’s show also Pink Talking Fish debut their takes on two very new additions to the Phish and Pink Floyd canons. The first was “Louder Than Words,” a tune from Pink Floyd’s brand new album The Endless River. The second was a rendition of Phish’s arrangement for “The Dogs,” a track from Disney’s Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House that the Vermont quartet covered on Halloween.

Pink Talking Fish will continue their tour tonight with a show at Bart and Urby’s Other Side in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
