Ryan Adams will score Danny Collins, a forthcoming film starring Al Pacino. According to Film Music Reporter, the singer-songwriter will team up with composer Theodore Shapiro, who also helped him pen “Stay Alive” for the The Secret Life of Walter Mitty soundtrack.

IMDB describes Danny Collins as a film about, “an aging rock star decides to change his life when he discovers a 40-year old letter written to him by John Lennon.” The movie is set for release some time in 2015.
