Oteil Burbridge sat in with Umphrey’s McGee last night at the Bear Creek Music and Arts Festival. The Allman Brothers Band bassist made his appearance in the middle of the second set, when he replaced UM bassist Ryan Stasik during “Bridgeless.” The show marked the first of UM’s two headlining performances at the festival, which takes place at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL.

Saxophonist Khris Royal and 11-year-old guitar prodigy Brandon “Taz” Niederauer both took the stage with The Main Squeeze during their set in the SOS Music Hall on Thursday, while Niederauer also joined the Catfish Alliance for a bit on the same stage.

The New Mastersounds welcomed plenty of guests during yesterday’s late-night, post-Umphrey’s set, including George Porter Jr., The Heard horns, Jennifer Hartswick and Carly Meyers. Last night, also saw Niederauer, Adam Deitch and Talib Kweli perform with Soulive, while Royal took the stage with Yojimbo and Roosevelt Collier performed with Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds earlier in the day.
