Beach Boys singer Mike Love has revealed that he is working on a memoir about his 50+ year career with the legendary band. Rolling Stone reports that the book, which is tentatively titled Good Vibrations: My Life as a Beach Boy, is set for release in the summer of 2016 in order to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys classic “Good Vibrations.” Love will co-write the book with writer James S. Hirsch, who is known for his books about baseball legend Willie Mays and boxer Rubin “Hurricane” Carter.

A press release from Love states, “There are a lot of things I haven’t shared before, and I’m looking forward to opening up about my life and my work in this book. It’s a story about family, music, a country in transition, and audiences all over the world coming together in harmony.”

Love last teamed up with the surviving members of the classic Beach Boys lineup—Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks—for a 50th anniversary reunion tour in 2012. However, Love continues to perform under the Beach Boys name without the other members of the original lineup (though he is occasionally joined by Jardine), and Wilson has stated that another reunion is unlikely.
