The String Cheese Incident will be joined by The Doobie Brothers for a very special Doobie Incident during one of their sets at the 2015 Lockn’ Festival. The collaboration is the first to be confirmed for next year’s event, which will also feature two nights of Widespread Panic, Tedeschi Trucks Band and the regular String Cheese Incident. Interestingly, next year’s event will mark the third time that all of the currently confirmed acts (with the exception of the Doobie Incident collaboration) have performed at the festival. Last year’s Lockn’ saw SCI team up with JT Taylor and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band for a String Cheese & The Gang set, while Lockn’ 2013 featured a set from the Zac Brown Incident with SCI and Zac Brown Band.

The Lockn’ Festival will return to Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA September 10-13, 2015. More artists will be added to the lineup in the future, and tickets for the event will go on sale Monday, December 1.

Last year’s Lockn’ Festival featured performances by The Allman Brothers Band, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Phil Lesh and Friends, Wilco, Widespread Panic (including a set with Steve Winwood), The String Cheese Incident (including a String Cheese & The Gang set with JT Taylor and Preservation Hall Jazz Band), Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gary Clark Jr., Willie Nelson, Umphrey’s McGee, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Bill Kreutzmann’s Locknstep Allstars, Drive-By Truckers and many more.
