In a new interview with the Boston Globe, Trey Anastasio addressed several topics including Phish’s decision to cover Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House as well as their plans for 2015. The guitarist recounted the band working out the arrangements for the set for the new tunes during their time in Denver over Labor Day Weekend and said that they will enter Phish’s repertoire in the future.

On 2014, Anastasio said, “I feel like it’s as creative a moment in Phish’s history as it’s ever been. We did so much forward motion this year, I think we rediscovered each other. The scene used to be so massive. Now we spend our time alone with the four band members together, and look what’s happening. That’s the way it always was, like, in ’94 and ’97.”

As for the future, the guitarist revealed that he won’t play with any of his side projects until Phish’s summer tour kicks off. He also said that next year will be a “quieter” year for the band with fewer shows. Along with a new TAB album forthcoming, Trey also mentioned the possibility of reconvening with Tom Marshall and the members of Phish to begin working on new material.
